Meet Neelam

Neelam Chand MSW Intern (She/Her)
Hi, I’m Neelam Chand. I’m currently pursuing my MSW at the University of Utah. I support women, and as a woman of color, I bring a deep understanding of the specific challenges that can come with that experience: burnout, the toll of absorbing microaggressions, and the disorientation of major life transitions. I’m also drawn to work around identity, grief, and intergenerational healing, the ways our personal experiences connect to something larger, our relationships, our communities, the systems we move through.
Before this, I spent 15 years in DEIB work across higher education and corporate spaces, working to help organizations build cultures rooted in equity and emotional intelligence. I also host a podcast called Are We Well?, exploring what wellness really looks like alongside healers, creatives, and social justice advocates. More recently, I trained as a death doula, work that has taught me how to be intimately present with grief and transition.
What I care about most is creating spaces where you can be exactly who you are, no code switching, no performing, just you as you are, with someone steady beside you while you sort out the rest.
“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” – bell hooks, All About Love
Neelam is able to bill for Select Health, BCBS, PEHP, and Aetna.
