Ashley Graef, MSW Intern (She/Her)

Hello! I’m currently a Masters of Social Work student pursuing my degree at the University of Utah. I have been working in the fields of mental health and addiction over the last seven years, primarily as a licensed and practicing substance use disorder counselor in the state of Utah.
My  approach to therapy is rooted from an interpersonal and relational frame of reference, informed by a background in psychodynamic theory, intersectionality, attachment, systems, parts work, and mindfulness based coping skills and interventions. I love to discuss concepts such as spiritual approaches to living, radical acceptance, self-empowerment, the importance of connectedness, navigating transitional phases in life, and shifts in identity.  I have extensive experience working with individuals in recovery, whether that be from substances, maladaptive coping behaviors, relationships, or trauma.
I strive to facilitate personal growth and self actualization in my work with clients. I enjoy working alongside my clients to guide and support them in bringing insight and clarity to their lives so they feel empowered to find their own path towards self-acceptance and joy.  I believe we all have expertise invaluable to the process of cultivating compassion, curiosity, and meaning in our lives. I feel honored to work with those who are seeking a life of depth, authenticity, and desire to find true healing from within.

I accept private-pay, SelectHealth, BCBS, PEHP, and Aetna.

*Ashley is only accepting new clients looking to do KAP at this time.
